Whilst we were away at ScaleACT, one of the worlds largest scale model shows was happening in Telford, UK, the 2023 IPMS Scale Model World. 

Whilst we weren't able to attend personally due to our commitments to ScaleACT here in Australia, we were very well represented at the show by both our wholesale distribution partners, Albion Alloys, and our largest UK retailer, Frome Model Centre. 

Inside the show guide, there was not one, not two, but THREE mentions of our products. Thanks to Jonathan Kaminski (aka Kamm) for these photos that he sent me whilst standing in line to enter SMW :

Albion Alloys took the opportunity to set up airbrushes and let people have a go with our paints on some spare model parts so they could get a feel for the product and how well it lays down on plastic.

Speaking with Matthew from Albion, he told me that it was very well received and many people who tried out the paints at their booth either purchased some from them or walked over to the Frome Model Centre tables to purchase some there. 

Over at the Frome Model Centre tables, Luke assembled a crew of top level modellers to run demos all weekend, showing off what is possible with our paints and how easy they are to work with. 

A huge thank you must go to Jezz, Ian, Lee and James for helping Luke at his stand, doing the demo sessions, answering questions from eager customers and also using our products on many of the models seen on some of the manufacturers stands including Revell and Airfix. 

And another thank you to James Bamford, Snorre Sandviken and Brian Thewlis (our special Australian Correspondent!) for the photos above. 

So, all in all, Scale Model World was a huge win for SMS as a brand within the UK. From all accounts, people have been very impressed with our paints and how they apply.
